Position Overview
The Director of Negotiations will be responsible for overseeing and directly managing the firm’s team of pre-litigation negotiators. This includes setting negotiation strategies, guiding daily performance, and ensuring consistent, high-value outcomes for our clients. Hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and deep familiarity with the personal injury claims process is required along with the ability to manage a team and achieve daily performance goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Directly lead and manage a team of pre-litigation negotiators, including hiring, training, mentorship, and performance oversight
- Direct the negotiation strategy for personal injury claims, ensuring efficient and high-value settlements
- Collaborate with other directors to evaluate case readiness and support negotiators with accurate case valuation
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex, high-value, or disputed negotiations
- Monitor individual and team KPIs; drive continuous improvement and accountability
- Identify and successfully deploy changes aimed to improve negotiation processes
- Develop and refine negotiation protocols and communication standards
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm policies in all negotiations
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate degre
- Experience in personal injury law, with a strong focus on pre-litigation negotiations
- Manager experience (i.e. a direct manager of employees)
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role within a law firm, legal department, or similar operations or service environment
- Demonstrated success in independently negotiating and resolving personal injury claims
- In-depth understanding of insurance policies, liability, damages, and the claims process
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in-office full-time at our Atlanta location (30328)
Desired Skills:
- Medical Claims, Adjuster, or Collections Experience
- Graduate degree
- 5+ years of management experience
- Previous experience leading a team of 10 or more individuals
